This here is my dog Graham, he's been around the family for almost eleven years. Time seriously flies when you have such an amazing dog like him. He's one of the most caring, lovable, non-agressive dogs i've ever known. (not just saying that because he's my dog) Hehe. This past year been a struggle for him, from eye infections, surgeries in his throat, you name and he went through it. This boy has came out on top every single time. Always ready to greet whomever comes to the door. He's my favorite.
Up until we got him and brought him home, I couldn't imagine having a dog in our family. I always told my friends growing up that I had a dog but when they came over, they quickly realized I was lying. So you can see what a relief it was when we finally brought home our boy Graham! I wasn't lying anymore. Ha.
Graham loves adventures, he really likes to roam the neighborhood by himself and take strolls to the elementary school down the block. He did that a couple times when I was actually attending that elementary school. My friends would come running up to me and saying, "ANNIE! GRAHAM IS HERE!" I always thought they were pulling my leg, but to my surprise there Graham was, walking towards me with his gorgeous blonde hair. I felt so cool to have my dog come visit me at school, obviously he missed me.
He is thirteen years old and still trying to go for solo walks, no more buddy. You know you like walks better with berto or I. I know that he's not doing well right now and having a hard time walking but he is still fighting as hard as he can.
Buddy, I just want you to know that I love you so much. You aren't just a dog to me, you're my brother, my family, my diary. You were there all those days when I would go out into the backyard and just unload all my feelings about whatever situation I was dealing with. I learned real quick that you don't like to listen and you just like to be petted. (thats the only way you would stay put) You are the best dog anyone could ever ask for, never did you hurt me or anyone in this family. You greet everyone with your big cheesy smile. I know that you can't stand spartacus, but secretly deep down inside I know you kinda like him. Thank you for all these years you have given me, and thank you for being here still. Not only that, but being in FULLY and ALERT. You still know what's going on and who's who, still got that tale wagging all the time. You got this boy. I will always love you, and always be obnoxiously annoying with all my hugs and kisses that I cover you with when you're sleeping. You are the best family dog, ever ever ever ever.
Pray for Graham, he's an old dog but he's got a young spirit. He's not leaving us anytime soon. Love you bubba!
You bring joy. Happiness. Family.

Carpe Diem: used to urge someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future.
Never did I really think about carpe diem has being such a positive outlook on life. But as I'm growing up and realizing more everyday. Living my life and not wasting a moment is almost impossible to do. There are hours that go by that feel like minutes. There are days that go by that feel like hours. It's not our fault, time just seems to slip through our hands so easily. I find myself worrying about tomorrow and not enjoying today, but recognizing this pattern is helping me to prevent it from continuously happening over and over again. I am twenty years old, and I'm always reminded that this world holds more than i'll ever know. However, I don't want to live in fear of what might happen anymore. We can't control the future, even when I "think" I know what's going to take place, I never really do. I've always told myself that one day I would start a blog, but never really intended on doing so. So here's to today, and to this blog that might not even be read but more importantly here's to the carpe diem. This life is a gift and I'm blessed everyday to get another whack at it.
